At Espire, we see the training of our people as a continuous process. The effort is to constantly raise the levels of competency and capabilities of our personnel by facilitating or providing the necessary inputs and an environment that promotes both professional and personal growth. This approach hones, improves and enhances their skills and makes the organization stronger. The Knowledge and skills of our personnel are continually upgraded through a variety of training programs, workshops and seminars, both internal as well as external.

We are moving rapidly towards being a knowledge based society and to be a successful organization we realize the importance of growing the value of our intellectual capital. To be in the lead, we have made learning and development a priority for both, businesses and individuals. While the best personnel are seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the workplace, Espire is looking at ways of developing the critical skills that the business needs, managing the valuable organizational knowledge more effectively and using technology to more efficiently and effectively deliver learning and development programs.

We proactively and systematically identify training needs with the help of various processes; Organizational requirement driven trainings, Individual specific requirements (Needs identified in the Performance Review and Development Plan) and Project Specific Requirements. Accordingly, these needs are consolidated under the following types of trainings:

  • Induction Program: This training is meant for all the new inductees irrespective of grade to ensure that every new inductee in Espire receives orientation on the Espire standards, systems and processes. This includes a thorough orientation on ISO 9001:2000 and CMMI Level 5 processes and is backed up by making available to hard copies of all systems, processes and reports that must be adhered to on a day-to-day basis. Access is also provided to a web-based repository of all such matter.
  • Technical Trainings: Technical Trainings are organized on a regular basis in order to address the needs of on going projects or for catering to the needs of the future or whenever a new technology is to be adopted by the organization.

    Such trainings are conducted once in a fortnight. Being of a short duration, they are known as Technology Sessions. These sessions are organized on the 2nd & 4th Friday of every month. These sessions include presentations and lectures to update the knowledge of the participants in the latest trends as well as upcoming technologies.

    Technology Courses are conducted on a quarterly basis and are normally of 15 days duration. These are invariably conducted by outside agencies who specialize on the topics to be covered. Emphasis is laid on the practical aspects too during these courses besides covering all theoretical aspects.

    The organization also encourages its personnel to participate in trainings conducted by organizations like Oracle, SUN, Microsoft, IBM on their latest products and at the same time has an on-going scheme of reimbursing all costs towards getting themselves certified for such specialized courses.
  • Quality Management System Training's: Continuous trainings on various quality accreditations is part of the curriculum at Espire. We engage various organizations like KPMG, Ernst & Young, Quality Assurance Group (QAG is one of India's leading accreditation and quality related training organization) to conduct trainings for our personnel. KPMG has certified Espire to be ISO 9001:2000 and SEI CMMI Level 5 and consequently not only do they impart trainings but also audit our processes on a 6 monthly basis.

    Over and above these, we conduct periodic in-house sessions during every quarter for addressing areas that have been identified as necessary for re-training.
  • Soft Skills Training: These are need-based trainings and generally constitute topics related to business matters, behavior and knowledge attributes.
